High School Juniors and Seniors an Inside Look at the FBI

The FBI [Springfield] – Teen Academy provides a unique opportunity for motivated high school students to develop leadership skills and investigate the world of law enforcement by engaging in team-building experiences, discovering careers in law enforcement, and learning to communicate and collaborate across cultures. FBI staff, including special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff lead discussions and interactive sessions focused on age-appropriate lessons about federal violations the FBI investigates such as cyber, counterterrorism, violent gangs, and fraud. Activities included hands-on forensics work and more. “Teen Academy gives high schoolers the chance to interact with FBI personnel and develop a better understanding of what we do, how we do it—and most importantly—why we do it,” said FBI Springfield.

The FBI Springfield Citizens Academy Association supported the event by providing lunch and snacks for the students.

FBI Springfield Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
